Jon began considering serving in the public ministry at an early age. To that end, he received twelve years of training! Four were spent at Luther Preparatory School, a specialized high school in Watertown, WI whose sole purpose is to get kids ready to become future ministers and missionaries. Then Jon spent another four years at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts. His coursework there included becoming proficient in Greek and Hebrew, the biblical languages. He also studied Latin and German, the theological languages. 

Then came the next four years of study at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, from which he received his Master in Divinity. There Jon took courses devoted to the study of Scripture in the original languages. 

The curriculum also included large amounts of academic courses like church history and doctrine as well as practical courses like preaching, counseling and evangelism.

Part of Jon’s training included an internship at Christ the Vine Lutheran Church of Temecula, CA in 2005 and 2006. Upon graduation from the Seminary, Pastor Quinn received a call to serve at Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church of Midland, MI. He served that congregation for five years before accepting the call to serve as the pastor at Beautiful Savior in Moncks Corner, SC.

The Quinns reside in Goose Creek and serve primarily at Beautiful Savior’s Moncks Corner campus. They look forward to meeting you!

Michael is a 1994 graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. He served his internship year at Beautiful Savior in Marietta, Georgia. There he met and married his wife, Teresa.

In the years since his ordination Michael has served congregations in Tulsa, OK, Cincinnati, OH, and Redwood Falls, MN. For the past 8 years he served as Vice-President for Mission Advancement at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN.  

Being raised in Northern Wisconsin Michael grew up skiing, snowmobiling, ice-skating, hunting, fishing, and just doing about anything else outdoors. His family operated a sawmill, did some logging, and some construction work.   

Michael and Teresa have two grown children. Michaela, is a pharmacy manager for Walgreens and Jared works for PwC focusing on cybersecurity. Michael and Teresa both come from large families and are blessed with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.   

The Otterstatters reside in Summerville and serve primarily at Beautiful Savior’s Summerville campus. They look forward to meeting you!
